Having lived in Bewdley all my life I am sure that everyone who knows me will be aware that I care passionately about our town. I am a member or supporter of several groups and organisations in Bewdley all of which I believe are important to our town. I am the vice chairman of the Carnival Association, vice chair of the Bewdley Branch of the Royal British Legion and of the RBL Service Committee and an executive of the Civic Society.

I was a Retained firefighter in Bewdley for 35 years, 24 of these as Officer in Charge. Although I work, in my spare time I am a volunteer Community First Responder, responding in my car to emergency calls in Bewdley and parts of Kidderminster and Stourport. I recently received an award for attending the most incidents in Worcestershire. I have been a Town Councillor for 14 years and had the privilege of being Mayor in 1999-2000. My wife Carol who fully supports me in every thing I do was a councillor for 8 years and Mayor during the years of 2001-2002.

I am at present the council’s representative on the PACT committee the Environment group and the chairman of the war memorial advisory group. Although I am available by phone or e mail at all times I also hold regular surgeries at the Library and if elected I would hold further surgeries at the Shawhedge community centre. I would also welcome the opportunity of working with other councillors to ensure that the wishes of the residents of Wribbenhall are heard and acted upon and to ensure that our town remains a safe and pleasant place in which to live.
